Bonnie shrieked gleefully as Vern accelerated through the intersection. The top was down tonight so she stood and held on, watching the car narrowly miss The Suit on the corner.
The Suit nimbly caught his hat midair, flipping it onto his head as he turned to wink at Bonnie. Vern sped away, as blissfully ignorant as their friends in the backseat. Only Bonnie shivered with the sudden certainty that none of them would survive the night.
Looking back, Bonnie saw The Suit touch the brim of his hat just as she felt Vern lose control of the car. She screamed.
