In late 2016, I started thinking about writing a blog. Back then, I was mostly interested in blogging as a source of income.
I spent the next two years really dragging my feet with it and changing my mind multiple times. At some point, I decided I didn’t care if it was profitable.
That took some pressure off. I started feeling more creative about it but still wasn’t doing much. I wanted everything to be just right, so I’d be taken seriously and read widely.
More recently, I’ve come to the conclusion that I just want a place to share my goofiness with whoever will read it.
Me & my blog go against nearly all the blogging guidelines I’ve come across.
I’m not an expert and don’t really want to be. I’m “just” a mom of three, living in the Pacific Northwest. I do contract work in the legal arena, hang out with people I love, travel when I can, and try to play with whatever life offers me.
I can be flighty (though perhaps “whimsical multi-potentialite” is nicer) and change direction often, though I have discovered that I am consistently drawn to creative expression, the marriage of law & tech, and the hope of inspiring others.
So this isn’t a niche blog. There’s too much to life for me to want to write about any one topic. You’ll find all kinds of things here, whatever I find interesting or worth exploring.
If you’re looking for advice, you might be surprised. I am going to try not to tell you what to do because I believe you are your own best advisor.
I do hope that what you read here will cause you to look in new directions.
And I hope it will inspire you to experiment with what you do, explore your own life, and experience it fully, and that you’ll think, “If she can do it, I can do it!” because odds are, you can.
Come and play!!
